What Napa Dads Want...Father's Day is June 16th!

I cannot actually promise that it is actually what a Napa Dad would want, because I am obviously not a Napa Dad…but if I were, I think these are things I would want. This is a list of pretty cool things and offerings that might tempt a dad living the Wine Country lifestyle!

  • Want the grill at home experience without the hassle? Tri Tip, Bocce, live music and Pliny the Elder on tap at The CIA at Copia. Super chill time in the garden. Invite other families…its like grilling at home without the hassle. Easy peasy. Festivities from 11:30 AM

  • Wine Loving Dad: A sweet set of crystal wine glasses by Gabriel Glass - these are so cool because it is one stem shape for ALL varietals- even sparkly. Use the code “Papa” for free shipping. They also have gorgeous crystal decanters.

  • Beer Drinking Dad: Beer Brewing Boot Camp at St Clair Brown in downtown Napa. Set him up for a day of bbq and learning how to make his own brew! This all day bootcamp (limited to 6 participants) will also include lunch and 12 750ml bottles of beer brewed that day! It’s $650 for the boot camp and takes place on July 21st. (Dad’s gone all day, what’s mom going to do?)

  • Adventurous Dad: Rent electric bikes at Pedego then ride to Yountville and brunch at Bouchon (or La Calenda). You can even return your bike at the Yountville location and Uber home. Regular bikes can be rented in front of Oxbow but that requires a bit more effort and a round trip. I have a full write up on the How-To’s of this experience here!

  • Outdoorsy Dad: Hike Skyline Park! The Lake Marie Trail takes about two hours and is a perfect mix of up, then loop back down, passing a lovely lake and some great views! Follow that up with brunch at Grace’s Table or Kitchen Door (order their killer chicken wings!)

  • Sporty Dad: Awesome massage gadget by Hypervolt or Theragun…believe me, this will be a big hit if your dad likes to work out. Other gifts for the sporty dad? A float visit to TrueRest might float his boat (they have a two for one gift card special going on right now)…or a cryo and infra red sauna session at Cryoaid!

  • Caveman Dad: Meat, meat and more meat. All you can eat meat and salad bar at Galpao Gaucho Make sure to try their Carpirinhas too! By the way, you can choose the meatless option as well -the salad bar is HUGE!

  • Elegant Dad: High Tea at the Ackerman House, followed by a Gondola Ride on the Napa River

This Dad Loves the Good Life: Let Dad sleep in, then head to St Helena for cocktails, dinner and live music by Big Sticky Mess in the garden at Goose and Gander!
