New Store Alert! Perfect Provenance
We have quite a few adorable new stores in downtown Napa! Finally! I am especially excited for this one, called Perfect Provenance (cute name, right?). Napa is the third location for this boutique. The successful original location is in Greenwich, Connecticut (the owner’s home town until recently for the last decade or so) and also has a café attached to it. A second location opened in Tiburon a few months ago and is already getting high praise from the locals there, and now we get one!
There is a wonderful and eclectic mix of unique fashion items for men and women, as well as artisan and designer home decor and gifts. I love that there are novels and books for purchase scattered around the shelves and original art pieces in the mix.
The shop also carries items from the Smile Collection where the proceeds go to Operation Smile, an international charity helping children born with cleft palates get operations they otherwise cannot afford.
The owner, Lisa Lori is excited to be a part of Napa, and she and her husband, Mat, have planted some roots and purchased a weekend home in St. Helena. I hope we can give them a warm welcome and support this new shop and all the shops in First Street Napa. Go check it out and spread the word that Napa is THE place to be these days!
Side note about First Street Napa. I am excited about the development - all the new shops that are coming in (Camino Goods, Free People, and more), and our standby classics (Compline!) that have survived despite the pandemic. I sure wish the powers that be would change the name of First Street Napa to something that differentiates it from shops that are physically facing First Street. I find it difficult to describe to someone the location of the businesses that are in the pedestrian zone.
Me:“There is a cute new plant shop called Riza, and its in the First Street ‘thing’ … you know, not ON First Street but back there, behind First Street, near Compline” Everyone and anyone: “huh?”
How about the Napa Mall at First Street? Or First Street Passageway? I understand there was a lot of money spent on the marketing of the name and logo, but I think that maybe they should go back to the drawing board! Just my two cents, which I can give because this is my blog, and that’s what I do here.
These goodies were very appreciated at the opening party: a choice of a lovely crisp Sauv Blanc or Olema Rosé and this charcuterie board from La Saison! I wanted to just hover over that board and stuffed my face and pour wine down my throat but I had to try to pretend to be civilized.
Dear Lisa and Mat Lori,
Thank you for choosing to put your store in our community!
Sincerely,
Napanista
